JAKEL




Jakel Trading was founded by Mohamed Jakel bin Ahmad on 24 January 1983 in Muar, Johor. In its early days, with only RM30 capital and two labor, Jakel Trading started off a textile wholesale supplier to small retailers around Muar Town without imagining a big advantages. In 1985, Jakel opened a branch in Segamat, Johor. With an additional capital investment of RM500,000, Jakel expanded its operations through retail trading and supplying textiles to both government and private agencies. After Jakel founder died, his son inherited the business, Mohamed Faroz Mohamed Jakel and his other siblings. Mohamed Faroz is also the Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director. He agreed with his father’s desire to help manage the business. However, his ability to make trades and able to contribute to the company’s robust sales during early involvement in the real business world won praise from his father.  Jakel Trading is the first company that generates economic Bumiputera entrepreneurs in this industry textiles.
